Last but not least is another one of my favorite DS games, Style Savvy! This game is all about fashion and expressing it in your own way. You can style your avatar, open and run your own boutique, and participate in “worldwide” fashion shows.
One of my favorite fashion styles in general stems from Japan and is called Lolita. Lolita fashion has many subcultures but the image above represents two of some of the most popular, Gothic and Sweet/Hime. Gothic Lolita uses a lot of dark tones while Sweet Lolita is much brighter. Sweet Lolita contains a lot of elements relating to cuteness and femininity. While they give different feelings, both incorporate elements of detail and strong personality.
This image represents one of the makeup “promotion” magazines in-game. If a player likes the products advertised, they can travel to the makeup store using their in-game map. There, they can test and buy new products.
Similarly to the previous image, this one represents an in-game promotion. In contrast, this promotion is for the hair salon. In this case, the player has the ability to change their avatar hairstyle and hair color.
